The brainchild of Sydney HipHop pioneer Sereck AKA Unique of the mighty Def Wish Cast, Basic Equipment started as a compilation and documentry focusing on the history of the 4 elements in Sydney around 1998. As time progressed, Sereck gathered together a crew of like minded individuals that formed under the Basic Equipment banner into a collective of mates from across the Sydney scene who represent the culture in its purest form.
Joint Adventure is the promotional arm of the crew. Consisting of Ran-Dee and Rivals, both artists in their on right, Joint Adventure has been responsible for a number of successful local and international shows including:
